ANDREAS Fridolin WEIS Bentzon (and his Nimbus) around Sardinia

Fridolin Bentzon made for Sardinia and its traditions ethnomusical much more than it has any scholar who has engaged in Sardinian own research. What did he do? He photographed, filmed, recorded and took notes, written, understood, loved and turned into a search unsurpassed two volumes in all his love for the traditions and sardines in particular for Launeddas , an instrument which, even today, Bentzon remains the greatest scholar. A great love for Sardinia and for this ancient instrument made him say, by yet to return and adventurous journey to the island, "I found the reason for my life" .

In this episode we tell her interests, the passions , the road trip, his life, pausing briefly on the subject of musical instrument, its in-depth study. We are not interested his notes on the technique of the best players of the '50s, but the reasons that led a boy of twenty Danish face long and expensive trips to Sardinia, often using tricks curious to save money, but keep in touch with a land that, as a teenager, he had only heard stories fascinated that were told.
